The lovely building
For lovers of antiques and vintage we have created a place where time has stood still. From vintage oak table tops to replicating the colours of this iconic monumental building on our walls. Reminding the customer of a time when a local grocer was still the custom. A cafe where everyone is welcome.

At Lisa’s Deli you can come in for a hot cup of Lot61 coffee, take-home meals and your daily groceries.
The vegetarian / vegan menu changes with the season, using the best quality products. Local and from the region when possible.
Our rule is “better a good neighbour than a distant friend!”

A grocer with shelves unlike any supermarket. Our goals is not only to use the best products in our menu, but to display them as well! Focussing on small and local businesses, who prioritise quality over quantity, we aim to deliver their craft into your cupboard.
One of the best perks of a hospitality career is working alongside passionate suppliers. Seeing their craft in action is inspiring, and it is something we would like to share with you.
Our goal is to introduce you to the faces behind the products. Not only to make your purchase feel more personal, but to also motivate you to use these products when making delicious vegetarian or vegan meals at home.

Always something to enjoy!
Beautifully presented sweet baked goods, savoury snacks, salads and filled wraps. You can expect that these items will always be plant-based and super tasty! Raw, sugar-free cakes that suit a healthy lifestyle, or a delicious slice of apple pie with some whipped cream.
Expecting some last minute guests? No groceries at home? You can always go to the Deli for a tasty lunch and / or evening meal that you only need to heat up at home.
Where possible, our menu uses organic, fair trade and local produce. Come and have a look at our beautiful Deli on Assendorperstraat.

Coming from one of the coffee capitals of the world (Wellington, New-Zealand) we don’t mess around when it comes to coffee!
We needed a roaster who could not only deliver the best tasting coffee, but share our passion for sustainability and style.
LOT61 is just that.
LOT61 offer a wide wide range of specialty coffee, retro branding and are a certified B-corporation. We don’t think we could have found a more perfect match.
Vision
Vegan, Vegetarian and sustainable where possible
When starting Lisa’s Deli, it was immediately clear that we wanted to be as sustainable as possible. With less meat you immediately reduce your ecological footprint. But it doesn’t stop there for us.
We use sustainable packaging and try to encourage ‘no packaging’. With the help of our customers we strive for a packaging-free take-away system. Bring your Tupperware bowl, coffee mug or your own plate and we’ll take care of the rest. Fill your own container with a delicious sandwich, sweet treat, salad and/or a hot Lot61 coffee to take home. Or join us in the shop, and we will do the dishes.

The faces behind the Deli
Locals of Assendorp, out of
New Zealand
Here they worked together for Wellington’s most popular cafe.
The long, and especially busy days meant that we spent a lot of time together. From here our relationship began.
We are both so passionate about our jobs that the thought about starting our own business together was obvious. Lisanne was the manager of the café in Wellington. Here she served the regular customers a cup of coffee and a smile every day. To them she was not Lisanne, but Lisa. The café was quickly nicknamed ‘Lisa’s Deli’.
As a memento of these special customers and our time in Wellington, our own Deli is named after this nickname. It holds a special place in our hearts forever.
We are also residents of Assendorp and would like to know our neighbourhood.
